This project involved the complete renovation of a 1970s villa, transformed into a contemporary, light-filled family home. The renovation was carried out thoroughly, with a strong focus on spatial flow, comfort, and durability. The ground floor was fully opened up to create an open-plan layout where the different living areas flow seamlessly into one another, while still maintaining their own distinct identity. The kitchen was maximally opened and carefully oriented towards the garden, creating a strong visual and functional connection with the outdoor space. Positioned between the kitchen and the living room, the dining area acts as a central link between the three spaces. From a technical perspective, the entire house was redesigned from the ground up. Both floors were equipped with floor heating, ensuring optimal thermal comfort and a future proof solution. A new herringbone parquet floor was installed, adding warmth, character, and elegance to the renovated villa.
